With so many products traveling through the mail today, it’s important to have them properly secured and protected. The number one way to ensure they arrive in the same condition they were sent, is to ship them in the most appropriate packaging for the job.
Different Shipping Supplies for Various Purposes
Depending on the size, weight, and material of the goods or products being shipped, the shipping supplies required may be different. Most products are placed in either mailers, envelopes, or cartons for shipping. We offer several different types of each to help each and every product reach its destination intact.
Mailers
Carton style mailers or envelope mailers are both excellent for shipping flat products like flyers and photos. The size you need will be determined by the quantity being shipped. If you’re shipping a lot, a carton may be best, or if it’s just a few, opt for an envelope mailer.
Special Purpose Mailers
Some goods and products are unique and require unique packaging to accommodate them. We have a variety of special-purpose mailers designed to deliver specific goods such as floppy disks, video cassettes, audio cassettes, CDs, and much more.
Padded Mailers
When a little extra protection is needed to ship an item safely, padded mailers are the answer. Choose between foam padded, bubble cushioned, or padded cushioned shipping mailers for shipping smaller, delicate or fragile products. Foam-lined carton-style mailers are also available for larger items that require additional protection.
Mailing Tubes
Mailing tubes are available for large, sensitive documents that need to arrive safely. Items such as posters, architectural drawings, and paintings can be shipped in mailing tubes that resist any bending or folding. Choose between plastic capped ends for security or crimped ends for simple convenience.
MAILERS
Variable Depth, Fold-Up Corrugated Mailers
Anyone shipping regularly issued magazines, digests, reports, and other documents can understand that each issue is not necessarily the same length – or in the case of shipping, thickness – each and every time. That’s where variable depth mailers come in. If you need to ship the same number of reports to a specific destination, but the thickness of each report fluctuates with each iteration printed, you’ll need packaging that can accommodate that fluctuation.
Our variable depth mailers are manufactured from 200lb test white corrugated cardboard and scored at ½” intervals to allow for the packaging of items of varying thicknesses. Although they don’t come pre-assembled, these mailers are easy to quickly assemble, fill, and seal, helping businesses maintain efficiency and consistency throughout the fulfillment process.

Crush-Resistant Corrugated Cardboard Mailers
Strong and crush-resistant, these corrugated, die cut, cardboard mailing cartons assemble quickly and easily without tape, staples or glue. (Adhesive sealing tape should be used for shipping.) They are super strong because the corrugated sides lock into place. Mailers are shipped to you flat, 50 per bundle. Custom sizes available.
Foam Lined Corrugated Mailers
Ensure the safe shipment of delicate or sensitive items with these reusable white corrugated mailers. Enclosed on all sides by waffle foam cushions, contents are securely held, preventing shifting during shipment. Available in standard and anti-static styles. Packed in cases of 24, except the 22 x 18 x 2 3/4″ which are packed 12 to a case.
Jiffy Rigi® Self-Sealing Fiberboard Mailer Envelopes
The stiff fiberboard and sturdy kraft construction of this mailer provide rigid protection for items like photos, floppy disks and cassettes. It will not bend, crease or fold. No tape, staples, adhesive or stiffeners are needed. Just insert contents and fold the self-sealing flap. Custom sizes available.
Self-Seal Stayflats™ Heavy Duty Mailers
These white Stayflat mailers couldn’t be easier to use. Insert material, peel off the adhesive strip and seal. You simply need to peel and stick these unique packaging materials. The tough adhesive insures that mailer will not open during shipment. The strong white .028 white clay-coated newsback construction keeps mailer corners rigid and protects contents.

Stayflats™ Heavy Duty Mailers
The sturdy construction of Stayflats insures that your mailings will arrive intact. The rigid corners protect items such as photos, artwork, brochures and more. Quick-to-use, just insert items and close the mailer with the self-locking flaps. No need for additional stiffeners. Available in .028 white clay-coated newsback and .037 kraft.

Easily Assembled Cardboard Folding Cartons for Product Protection
Store or protect shipped products in these cardboard folding cartons, perfect as inner cartons and ideal for small items packaged in bulk. They have self-locking tucks and can be assembled without glue or tape. Packed 500 per box. Custom sizes available.
Safe & Convenient Shipping Carton Opener Knife with Blades
Open cartons in seconds without damage to box contents. The opener shields the blade whether in use or not, and the blade position is adjustable for height and depth. Two models are available. Industrial Heavy-Duty Corrugated Cardboard Shipping Cartons

Impact, Tilt, Damage & Temperature Indicators
Fragile and sensitive products are not solely liquids or gels – they can be breakable goods that have the potential of shattering on impact. For many fragile items, the impact of being dropped can be more damaging than that of being tipped too far. So, instead of using damage tilt indicators for your package, shipping impact indicators may be applied to determine whether there may be concealed damage to the product.
Impact and Damage Indicators at LPS Industries
Similar to tilt indicators, impact and damage indicators are special labels placed on the outside of goods and packages that will indicate if they’ve been impacted or dropped with an unacceptable level of force. We have three types of shipping impact indicators at LPS – Shockwatch impact and tilt products, Drop N Tell warning labels, and DropSpot impact indicators.
Shockwatch Impact and Tilt Products
Shockwatch impact and tilt products will sense if a package is handled improperly and turn bright red to indicate any concealed damage. There are five label variations that will each react to a different level of impact force. Which you choose depends on the dimensions and weight of the package.
Drop N Tell Warning Labels
Drop N Tell warning labels are slightly different in that they measure whether a container experiences a shock exceeding a specified range of G force. They are available in six different G ranges and can be reset up to 50 times, making them perfect for continued use.
DropSpot Impact Indicator
DropSpot impact indicators will turn bright red when it senses that a package has been improperly handled. These indicators are also bidirectional, making it simple to assess and detect the damage upon opening the package. There are three DropSpot models differentiated by color that each reacts to a different force level. The size and weight of the package will determine which model to use.

Drop N Tell® Warning Labels
Spot concealed shipment damage at the time of receipt of delivery with the Drop ‘N’ Tell impact indicator. Easily mounted, the sensor displays a blue arrow if the container receives a shock exceeding a specified G range.
The device comes in six G ranges, from 5 to 100, and can be reset up to 50 times. Each indicator comes with a two-part label. The first is affixed to the shipping carton and announces that Drop (N) Tell is present on your shipment, and the second affixes to the bill of lading or other shipping documents.

DropSpot Impact Indicator
Detect concealed damage at lower sensitivities when shipping heavier goods. The DropSpot sensing indicator turns bright red if your package is improperly handled. It’s highly visible indicator window has a bi-directional response. Each individual DropSpot is marked with a serial number so the goods can be tracked. And, they are field armable. These unique features foster claims recovery and damage reduction. The three DropSpot models are differentiated by color, and the ingenious sensor device on each reacts to a different force impact. Tilt Indicators
Many sensitive products, such as liquids and gels, need to be shipped upright and remain that way through their journey. If they don’t, serious spills may occur, resulting in the need for extensive cleanup. Once the product is packaged though, how do you know if it has been tipped far enough to result in a spill? That’s where tilt indicators come in.
Tilt Indicators at LPS Industries
Tilt indicators are special labels that are placed on the outside of a package to be shipped that will indicate if the package has been tipped past a certain angle while being shipped. At LPS Industries, we provide our customers with two tilt indicator options – the TiltWatch XTR indicator and the Tip N Tell tilt label.
TiltWatch XTR Tilt Indicators
When affixed to your goods or packaging, the TiltWatch XTR tilt indicators will detect and record unacceptable tilting on products that must remain upright. If unacceptable tilting has been detected, the tilt sensor will turn red to indicate that the contents may have spilled or been disturbed. These labels use an aggressive adhesive to ensure that they cannot be reset or removed once applied.
Tip N Tell Tilt Label
Just like our TiltWatch XTR tilt indicators, our Tip N Tell tilt labels will identify when a product has been tilted. In the case of this shipping tilt indicator, two blue beads are present, and it is evident that the product or package has been tipped when the blue beads break through past a marked line into the top section.

Affixed directly to your goods or packaging, TiltWatch-XTR indicators detect and record unacceptable tilting on goods that must remain upright. Simple, cost-efficient, and highly effective, this attention-getting device provides a visual deterrent to unacceptable handling, no matter what you’re shipping.
Removal of the adhesive backing automatically arms the devices. The self-stick backing utilizes the most aggressive 5 mil acrylic adhesive available, creating a permanent bond on all but the roughest containers – ensuring that once applied, this shipping damage indicator device cannot be reset, and the product cannot be tipped without indisputable evidence of mishandling.
This tilt sensor turns red if the container it is affixed to tips on its side or is completely upended. TiltWatch-XTR will not activate under normal handling conditions or during aircraft take-offs.
*** As an added security feature, each TiltWatch-XTR is marked with a unique serial number. You can identify every package with a number that can be listed on your shipping papers.
Additionally, the TiltWatch-XTR Indicator contains a vacuum seal that eliminates any effects of humidity or temperature changes.

Identify Tipped Containers
This complete warning system consists of two labels along with the Tip (N) Tell indicator. One label is affixed to the shipping container to explain the indicator’s function, while the other is attached to the bill of lading to give notice that the shipment is being monitored.
The indicator itself is affixed to the container and registers if it has been tipped or overturned during shipment.
Temperature Indicators
Temperature Indicator Labels for Shipping
There are many products being shipped daily that are temperature sensitive and must remain at a stable temperature throughout the entire shipping process. Some of these products may be food, chemicals, and medical products. To ensure that a stable environment is maintained, temperature indicator labels for shipping should be placed within the package.
Types of Temperature Indicators
Temperature indicator labels for shipping will detect changes in temperature and will alert the receiver if the temperature change has harmed the product in any way. At LPS Industries we provide our customers with two types of temperature indicators – ColdMarkTM indicators and WarmMarkTM indicators.
ColdMarkTM Temperature Indicators
ColdMarkTM indicators contain specially formulated fluids securely encased in a cylindrical tube, which will turn from clear to a violet color when exposed to temperatures below a certain level. Available in five different activation temperatures, these are convenient for determining if goods have been exposed to unacceptable environmental conditions.
WarmMarkTM Temperature Indicators
WarmMarkTM indicators aren’t contained in a tube but are still a reliable temperature indicator. When a shipment is exposed to temperature levels above a set level, a proprietary red dye is released onto a blotter which clearly indicates potential spoilage of the product and details the duration of exposure.
